- When the app is in use (foreground)
- When the app is closed or running in the background (only for active alarms)

- Enable shared/group alarms with other users

5. LOCATION DATA USAGE

Zeo Buddy uses location data to provide location-based alarms.
- Foreground Location: Used when app is open
- Background Location: Used to trigger alarms even when app is closed
We only collect location data when:
- You enable location permissions
- You create a location-based alarm
You can disable location access anytime in device settings.

6. DATA SECURITY

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

7. DATA RETENTION

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy and to comply with legal obligations.
Alarm Data Retention:
- Completed alarms, including location-based alarms and shared/group alarms, are retained for a maximum of 10 days from the date of completion.
- We collect habit data entered by users to provide tracking and progress features.
This data is stored locally and synced to our database once daily at around 11:30 PM.
Synchronization may occur even if the app is not actively in use.
No continuous background activity occurs beyond this scheduled sync.
- After this period, such data is automatically deleted from our systems as part of routine data management and storage optimization.
Users may request deletion of their personal data at any time by contacting us.

You can enable or disable location access anytime from your device settings
Disabling location may limit certain features of the app

9. GOOGLE CALENDAR, TASKS & OAUTH ACCESS

Zeo-Buddyintegrates with your Google Account to enable calendar-based alarm scheduling and task-based reminders. Our use of Google user data strictly follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What We Access:

  • Google Calendar (Read-only) — calendar.readonly We read your calendar events solely to allow you to set alarms based on your scheduled events.

  • Google Calendar Events (Read & Write) — calendar.events We read and may create calendar event-linked alarms on your behalf (e.g., creating a reminder event tied to an alarm). We do not modify or delete events you did not create through Zeo-Buddy.

  • Google Tasks (Read-only) — tasks.readonly We read your Google Tasks solely to allow you to set alarms or reminders based on your task due dates and titles.

  • Google Tasks (Read & Write) — tasks We may update task completion status or create task-linked reminders within the App. We do not delete tasks or share task data with third parties.

  • Google Account Email Used only to identify your connected account within the App.

How We Use Google Data:

  • All Google Calendar and Tasks data is used exclusively to power alarm and reminder features within Zeo-Buddy.

  • We do not use your Google data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the App's core alarm functionality.

  • We do not share, sell, or transfer your Google user data to any third parties.

  • We do not allow humans to read your Google Calendar or Tasks data unless you explicitly contact us for support and grant permission.

Revoking Google Access:
You can revoke Zeo-Buddy's access to your Google Account at any time by visiting: myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps with account access.
Revoking access will disable calendar-based and task-based alarm features but will not affect manually configured alarms.

10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app.
